Note to Self: Need to try out "Bloody Big Battle" sometime (Franco Prussian War)

Possibly for use in a Franco-Prussian 15mm Campaign I always said I would do!

I've got played several games of BBB, including Gettysburg with Chris Pringle himself. It rattles along very well and is a lot simpler than it looks. Chris posts regular game reports on his blog. It would be a bit much for the Zoom crowd I think though.

I might call on your expertise at some point in the future

It’s a war I’ve always wanted to wargame … mainly thanks to Donald Featherstone. It’s one reason why I’ve been concentrating on the Belle Epoque period of late.

All the best,

Bob

I will watch with interest - this is a project that might come into being post CoW 2026 (late second half of the year)

I wouldn't claim to be an expert. My go to rules for the FPW are either Neil Thomas' Nineteenth Century rules or Richard Brooks Minischlacht (tactical or Terrible Swift Rules (whole battle). Both the latter are in the Nugget.

Cheers Martin I will have to check the Nugget ones out!
