When is need of painting inspiration .. paint Sci Fi or Fantasy, nobody can say you are wrong!
GW 1990's era Space Orcs for Space Crusade which is a early (before) Xmas painting project, where I intend to run a retro Space Crusade for my original D&D friends (see below, early stages of work):
