Impetus Battle III: Casualties mount and the Light Horse dances (2)

The grim war of attrition and the casualties mounted. My Pike and Shot tried to come to the assistance of the beleaguered Burgundian Knights:


Meanwhile my "next best" mounted unit was staring off into the distance, looking at some Light Cavalry wondering what they were up to (see below):

Nice, still can't get over the lack of cover though! How about a few close-ups of some of your figures Geordie?

It's ancients Al. They needed clear terrain to fight in on the whole. Even ECW battles are relatively featureless.

The troops don't tend to hide as in the modern era (except in ambushes as a few Roman Legions fond out to their cost)

Close up of the toys to follow these were hasty action shots while I remembered
