Back in the days of the early 2000's I was in academia, like others, searching the Internet with a passion. The WayBackMachine was in its basic inception and I used it for hours in "multi-disciplinary research! (ahem). Well it's way better now as there seems to be oodles more to find and quicker check it out for yourself (see below):
The generic WayBackEngine link:
And there is more to be found ... (note, the collections are not necessarily comprehensive - but nevertheless a brilliant time waste, er I mean research resource) ...

The General and WN online? Wow! This is quite the find! Thank you!
You are most welcome .. but I immediately distance myself from responsibility of the amount of time that this find might grab! I honestly dare not look too much .. already I have found stuff I [didn't know existed] or [was even accessible anymore]!
;)
It is teh Airfix that immediately grabs me .. it is from another era!
My evening went from "I'm going to paint! I'm going to game!" to "I'm going to read as many issues of Featherstone's newsletter as I can in one night!
Having never seen Airfix magazine before, this is an entirely new adventure.
John Y .. er, glad to be of assistance ;)
Remember .. strong coffee helps ;)
Johnathan .. I have vague memories from my childhood but was not a regular buyer .. I remember a fascinating feature about how to convert the Airfix HMS Ajax kit to HMS Leander in 1/600 scale!
