I saw this recommendation stop into my mailbox. I thought the paper interesting. It provides a useful counterpoint to those claiming that nothing can be learned from Wargaming since “We are only playing with toy soldiers in a game”.

It is a summary of over his 50 years of professional wargaming practitioner work - when the term "wargaming" was not even coined - his work was seen as Operational Research Analysis in another guise!
